How to play Movie Groups

Find four sets of four films, grouped by director.

Make your first move

Select four titles, then press Check group.

Select four titles and check. You have four mistakes. Correct groups reveal their director. This edition uses a fixed collection of 39 films, so familiar titles return in different rounds.

Common mistake

You have four wrong checks. Tap a selected title again to remove it.

Strategy to try

1. Group by director, not actor, genre or decade. Build a complete four-title hypothesis before spending a check.
2. After an incorrect check, reconsider the shared director rather than swapping titles at random. The included film catalogue is small, so titles can recur in practice.

The daily board changes at midnight UTC. Your first completed daily score is saved in this browser. Practice starts a separate round. There is no account or subscription required; JavaScript is needed to play. Progress is device-local and clearing browser data removes it.
